The universe is existent without us.
We don’t give the universe meaning;
rather we need to extract significance from it,
to empower ourselves.
What sense can souls that cuss before they pray, make?
So should we look above the minute details, of skin and hair?
Listen beyond the politics of the human race.
Feel past the comfort of a silky chase.
What about the empty space within us,
and the one exceeding into outer space?
There is still so much to know and explore.
And yet we tussle in the familiar,
over and over, creating a mess.
I don’t know how they do it.
All I want to do is, be happy and pursue a rationale.
Not one that involves judging others, and dragging them down.
Not one that entails, spitting shit out of my mouth.
Not one that cries of desperation and degrade.
Not a life full of pointless fears.
I want an existence, of smiles,
one without blood stained lips.
I want to understand the world,
without fueling any hate.
I want to see the atoms engage,
without blasting each others face.
There is no race, not human nor intellectual.
It is present only, in our self-made,
insecure cage.

What was that sound?
Was it a hiss under some feet?
Or the sound of a crumpled autumn leaf?
Was it a cracked window shield?
Or the sound of a splinter into fleshy meat?
Was it a dead deer on the street?
Or the sound of an orphan getting beat?
finally within reach.

as blood red and capital green.
Generosity is restricting,
due to lack of social responsibility.
The tortured are ignored,
as the anguish is lingering.
Self- preservation is priority,
due to perceived futility.
The world gets warmer,
as our hearts turn frosty.
We set the world afire,
due to a deficit in community.

As dreams sat beside me,
I began to ignore,
Smashed to smithereens,
My courage refused to show.
And now I began to ignore,
The few steps between us two,
Always never seem to go.
But I began to ignore,
The effort to unite, is daunting,
Perhaps, since it might be unsure
I began to ignore,
The loss I would endure,
With nothing to hold
And now I began to ignore,
The piercing those ideas,
Will never be able to bestow
They could have been my own,
But I began to ignore,
The dreams left unclaimed,
Free, leaving me vain
